One of the benefits of living in a new town, and being constantly forced out of the house by my two energentic boys, is that we are exploring many new areas and hidden jems. Last week one of the professors at the university sent out an email inviting anyone and everyone to stop by their property and see the beautiful apple blooms. I can't say that I ever recall visiting an apple orchard in the spring, and so I quite underestimated the view. I didn't bring the wide angle lense, . . . what was I thinking? Anyhow, we had a wonderful evening "hike" around the orchard and up to a hill that over looks the county.
Multiply this view by about 40 rows and you'll start to get the picture :-)The air was heavy with sweetness! Trying to explain the process, I told Matthew that the bees had to kiss these flowers and they would turn into apples. Now he tells everyone that as a matter of fact. I can just picture him fighting his earth science teacher in 7 or 8 years!
This boy is on a roll these days! As we were walking up the hill, I said, "Matthew, stand there, I want to take your picture." His reply was, "Mom, why don't I sit down? Yea- that's a great idea, it will be a great picture, you know?" I just might hire him :-)
That house please- I'll take that house right there ;-)
